the cardholder or subscriber may select the desired language.
multiple brand support
The system is capable of identifying the card brand based on the inbound DID numbers and thus appropriate features be activated.
card PIN, caller ID, or SIP/IAX account authentication
The caller may be authenticated by calling card number (or PIN), subscriber's caller ID, or SIP/IAX account name and password.
card balance announcement
The caller is informed his balance remaining in the account upon authentication.
maximum duration announcement
The caller is informed the maximum duration allowed for the destination number entered.
last minute warning
The caller will hear a beep tone or voice announcement when there is only one minute remaining before reaching the maximum duration allowed.
caller ID registration / deregistration
The caller may register (or deregister) his caller ID so that he does not need to enter the card number every time.
card recharge
The caller may transfer the credit from another card (or voucher) to his own account.
follow-on call support
The caller may press a key (typically ##) to terminate the existing call and reinitiate another call immediately.
optional advertisement while calling
The caller will hear advertisement while a call is being made.
Billing Features
LCR (least cost routing), LCD (least cost dialing), or user-defined priority routing scheme
The system may opt to route the call using the carrier with the lowest price (LCR), with the lowest selling price (LCD), or with the highest priority (PRI).
progressive rate
different rates at different duration of the call, e.g. $0.5 per minute for the first 3 minutes, $0.4 per minute for subsequent 3 minutes, $0.3 per minute thereafter.
peak/off-peak rate
different rates at different time of the day, e.g. $0.5 per minute for Mon-Fri 9am-7pm, $0.3 per minute at other times.
hidden / non-hidden per-call surcharge
surcharge per call (e.g. $0.1 per call) - may be known or hidden to the caller
hidden / non-hidden per-minute surcharge
surcharge per minute (e.g. $0.05 per minute) - may be known or hidden to the caller
DNIS based surcharge
Operators have the option of imposing an extra charge either on a per minute basis or on a per call basis or both, applicable for example in toll-free access or pay-phone access.
flexible billing increment
minimum call duration and the increment used to calculate the call cost. E.g. 60 second minimum, 10 second increment
minimum chargeable duration
minimum call duration that a call will be charged. For example, if minimum chargeable duration is 5 seconds, then a call with only 3 seconds will not be charged at all.
maximum buy rate
maximum buy rate allowed for any calls. For example, if maximum buy rate is $1 and the selected buy rate is $1.1, then the trunk associated with this rate table will not be used even though it satisfy the trunk selection criteria.
flexible charging increment
billing increment in dollars. For example, if the actual charge is $2.7 and the billing increment is $1, then the final charge will be $3. If the actual charge is $2.7 and the billing increment is $0.2, then the final charge will be $2.8.
connection and disconnection charge
random call cut-off
If enabled, x% of calls will be cut off, with call duration within a certain range.
recurring charge
Operator may charge the customer a fee on a periodic basis (e.g. monthly maintenance fee).
maximum call duration for call-back calls
Maximum call duration allowed for a call-back call.
